We’re Patrice and Caitlin: two international school veterans who believe that language and culture belong at the heart of every school community.
We’ve lived and worked around the world, from Korea and Morocco to China and the Netherlands, and speak 8 languages between us. Through firsthand experience as teachers, parents, and third-culture kids, we’ve seen how schools often overlook their biggest asset: the diversity that’s already there.
That’s why we founded Conex-Us Consulting: to help schools turn diversity into connection, belonging, and better outcomes for everyone.
Conex-Us was founded in response to a persistent problem in international education: schools call themselves “international,” yet too often overlook the very diversity that defines them.
We’ve noticed a common pattern: students from multilingual and multicultural backgrounds often have to do most of the adapting, while their languages and identities aren’t always seen or celebrated in the classroom. School leaders truly want to reflect the diversity in their communities, but many aren’t sure how to do it in a way that feels meaningful. And families? They can tell when it’s missing.
We’re here to change that.
At Conex-Us, we work with schools to turn good intentions into real action: helping bring internationalism to life in ways that truly matter. When students see their languages, cultures, and identities reflected in everyday school life, it’s not just about feeling included. It’s about giving them the chance to truly shine.
We’d love to hear about your school’s story, and explore how language and culture can help bring your community even closer together. Whether you’re just starting this journey or already thinking about your next steps, we’re happy to connect.
