Hi, I’m Patrice.
I help schools leverage multilingualism for stronger engagement, achievement, and belonging.
I’m an international educator, consultant, and professional learning facilitator with more than 15 years of experience working across multilingual school contexts.
My work focuses on helping educators and school leaders move language inclusion from a value they believe in to practical classroom routines, professional learning, and school-wide systems that actually support multilingual learners.
Why Conex-Us Exists
From multilingual classrooms to school-wide change.
After years of working in international schools, I kept seeing the same tension: multilingualism was celebrated as part of a school’s identity, while classroom routines, communication systems, and academic expectations still often treated English as the default.
I became increasingly interested in what changes when schools stop viewing students’ home languages primarily as something to manage or support and begin treating them as resources for thinking, learning, participation, and connection.
Translanguaging gave me a practical way to bridge that gap. But the more I worked with it, the clearer it became that meaningful language inclusion cannot depend on a handful of enthusiastic teachers using isolated strategies.
Conex-Us grew from that idea: helping schools move from good intentions to coherent practice across classrooms, professional learning, leadership, and community.
